Full-time, half-time and less: why the label matters for aid

Aid offices classify how many credits you take. That label can change how much grant money is paid and when.

How schools count

Credit thresholds for full-time differ by program level. Your aid office publishes the chart.

Disbursement timing

Some aid pays only if you reach a minimum intensity by a census date.

Modules and short terms

Compressed courses can confuse intensity calculations. Ask how your calendar is counted.
